I finally have a post about my knitting. Time to catch up..
1st - 2nd pair of socks done!
These are a gift so I am not going to give a hint as to who they are going to. (I know she reads my blog) All I can say the girl who gets them is going to love them! Speaking of socks, the 1st pair I finished.. I finally wore them last night camping and my feet never got cold even though it was only about 50 degrees out.
Here is the pattern,
corded rib
Rnd 1: *K2, P2, rep from *
Rnd 2: *ssk, yo, P2, rep from *
Rnd 3: *K2, P2, rep from *
Rnd 4: *yo, K2tog, P2, rep from *
Repeat as needed
Ball-Band Dishcloths
I have about 40-45 of these to do.. I know crazy but I am going to try. I can knit them up in a night so how many days left till christmas? I am also thinking of making homemade soap to go with them. I just need to learn how to do it and make the time.
Now a little yarn pOrn
I have 4 sweaters that I would also like to make for my fellow knitheads. I have them all picked out, yarn, pattern, where to get the colors I want, needles. I have a list!! Let's be honest too, only a fellow knithead really can appreciate the time that has gone into a sweater. My hubby, who I love dearly has only worn his sweater once. ONCE! I reminded him last night in the 50 degree weather, that it would be a perfect time to wear it. No, he wanted to wear his fleece that I got on clearance for $5. Not the handmade sweater that took me a month to make and spent about $80 on yarn. Oh well, it will be awhile till I knit him something again, I will patiently wait for a request 1st.
I got this yarn from Elann. What we have here is,
Peruvian Baby Cashmere in heather Rose (I am thinking a pair of lace socks)
Peruvian Highland Wool in Ink & Irish Moss
I am not going to say what sweater pattern I am making, cause then she will know.. (aka Blog Stalker) but once the gift is given, I will reveal. Most of you fellow blog knitheads will know what I am making. Here is a photo of the back.. The tracks are not mistakes but marks from my lifelines which I know will come out once I block. Right?
Ok, that is my knit update. Knit on and knit often!
your going ballband CRAZY.everyone does love them. and yes..only make handknits for those who knit. lesson learned!

Wow! Great socks, great washcloths, great yarn! Whew, what a happy post!
Sorry dh doesn't wear the sweater - mine wants a cabled aran wool sweater, and I'm terrified that once I make it for him, it will sit on the closet shelf. I don't know if I could deal with that :0)
