Yes, I finally did it! I got one sock complete! A very special thanks to Sue @ my LYS, she helped me figure it all out.
If you remember way back when, I did take a sock class.
I really tried to like that sock, we just didn't have too much in common at that point. I never understood it and the more we tried to get to know each other, the more we realized that maybe this friendship was not meant to be. Then the sock and I got in a huge fight, didn't speak for awhile, swore at each other, we basically turned out backs on each other. I then put the sock away on shelve and tried to ignore it. I could hear the sock, mocking me from the shelve, taunting me whenever I would walk by.. I just couldn't take it anymore, I needed to take control! I finally took the needles out and showed that sock who was boss. I frogged the whole thing! This is the final post about that sock.
After almost 2 months of the not seeing the sock, talking or even discussing the sock. I was ready to give it just one more chance. Anything worth having is worth working for, right? I have this awesome sock book called Sensational Knitted Socks by Charlene Schurch. Just look how far I got!
I highly recommend this book for doing socks, it has step by step instructions for dps and 2 circs.. I however, just used the info for 2 circs and did magic loop. Last weekend, the sock and I got along great! I turned the heel, I was in awe on how nice this sock was to me, I loved putting the sock on my feet to gauage my progress. The best is, the sock liked being on my wide foot!! It is so exciting when you meet a new friend, who "gets" you and you "get" them!
Here is my first sock friend,
Now, at night the sock and I sit around while I knit her sole mate. We have this pac, I only put her on while knitting her mate, it helps keep me inspired.
